Alberta....where I normally live:
currently covered in snow and -4 degrees Celcius.
Arizona....where I traveled to on the weekend, to hang out and absorb heat for a week:
+18 to +25 degree Celcius, sunny.
With palm trees.
In the mornings I head out on a 4-5 mile trail.
I wear a tank top and shorts.
It's perfect running weather.
Strange thing is...people here look at me like I've lost my mind.
While I run in summer-wear, they are walking, biking, running- in layers of clothing and toques and gloves.
Funny thing how climate affects us all:)
I do believe I could stay here all winter to run.
I don't miss my toque or mittens.
In the least.

Sounds like a nice getaway Dawn. Maybe you can swing another couple trips to break up the long winter. Better yet, sign up for some races in Arizona :-).
It is funny how we become acclimated to the weather. That first sunny, warm spring day brings out the shorts yet the same temp in the fall brings out the sweaters.
Well it's a good thing you are there and not here. It's chilly but the sun is shining. Winter coats on with hats.. The only thing about this weather it makes one get in the mood to knit for Christmas presents.
Have a great sunny day~ Have a great day ~ ta ta for now from Iowa:)
Hi Dawn! Thank you for stopping by our blog! We are drooling over your fabulous photos! We carry our little Canon around on our trail runs and bike rides but I bet you are using a little more camera than that.... Steve is the aspiring photographer - he would love to know about it! I would love to head down to AZ, too! Looks and sounds lovely (and warm!).

Hey Dawn, I just saw a friend's race list for next year and came across a Lake Havasu 70.3 here http://www.active.com/triathlon/lake-havasu-city-az/hits-triathlon-series-lake-havasu-city-az-2012 . Another option...
Now that sounds lovely to me. B
You had me at the favorite books on your profile: "anything by a Bronte."
I long to call myself Cathy and wander the moors with my Heathcliff. Or maybe Mr. Rochester will want to marry me. One never knows. I like your blog, and I shall follow you. I hope you follow me too.
Love,
Lola
This is my first visit to your blog. Very nice picture of desert palms with blue sky & white clouds above.
Dont miss the toque
Ahhhhhh....sounds absolutely lovely. We've currently got cold and rain...making it hard to want to get out of bed in the morning. Now...palm trees, blue skies and even a little bit of "heat" and I would be up and at 'em!!!
